I thought of the German menus, which are taken for granted in Mallorca – sometimes without a Spanish equivalent. The same approach of anticipatory obedience has now apparently hit Berlin: one finds more and more English menus there – without the German equivalent.
Language imperialism here as well as there.
On our website, we kept it pretty conservative in the native language and added a nearly complete English translation. The small globe in the menu on the far right opens this new language world. We look forward to popularity.
